Last night Andy Samberg hosted the MTV Movie Awards and while I think a handful of the stuff Andy did fell short of its potential (the intro coulda been better and hand a bunch more movie spoofs) I still thought it had a lot of funny moments and he did a good job hosting.
It might be the cool thing to talk shit on his hosting duties by a lot of others out there in the good ol blogosphere, but I thought he was funny. I just really like how off the wall some of his jokes are. It’s not like I have a man-crush on him or anything. Who said I watched it with my pants off???!!?!?! Oh, I just did… Well ummmm…
One of the highlights of the night that the interweb is a buzz over was when Sacha Baren Cohen’s Bruno character fell onto Eminem in the audience, planting his almost bare ass onto Em’s face.
While a lot of people are quick to be like “Ooooh, Eminem got owned!” I’m pretty sure that was staged. After all of the promoting Mr. Mathers did for this awards show and after his actual scuff with Triumph The Insult Dog a few years back, I really doubt MTV woulda done this without Em’s knowledge in advance.
Oh yeah and TWILIGHT won everything… joy.
